Fracking
|
What's the soap dodgers problem with fracking? By all accounts we could have a massive resource of energy within the UK which would have us less reliable on imports, and potentially run down energy costs for everyone

Chalk and cheese, mining and fracking do not compare. No ling term environmental damage with mining.
Also any of you experts know much water is needed?
I can tell you it's an enormous ammount that is unsustainable!

Yeah yeah. My Dad grew up in the Welsh valleys. I've been there a few times since they've stopped and it gets progressively better and better. As a kid I'd go and it was like a nuclear winter. The world often heals very quickly.

To be fair the environmental impacts of coal mining and heavy industry have arguably severely fucked certain parts of the country up for a very long time.

No-one really has a clue except those scientists that all seem to think there is nothing to worry about. I really can't imagine that politicians are so short sighted to allow something that creates havoc.
Coal mines would never get dug in the modern world. Too many Green protesters would complain about the UK sinking to Australia....

I like the fact that some people are all for fracking as for some reason they believe they will benefit from it. Common people will see no benefit. The only benefit will be for the exploration companies and owners.

Not really a piss take but the far right and the greens have an awful lot in common and the green movement is essentially an offshoot of the far right.
Every time I hear some UKIP duffer going on about England being full I'm reminded of some green misanthrope going on about the Earth being full. For one idiot the no more people should cross the border of England-for the other no more people should cross the border of existence.

In my experience. The knowledgable people need the idiots to get their nonsense out of the way. When they've finished the knowledgable people say their stuff and all is sorted. It's part of the human existence.

"Conversation is about those who know shutting up while those that know fuck all talk shit all day."
While you might have felt very clever when you typed that out, it makes no fucking sense whatsoever.
